40.22 Profile Presets
40.22.1 Overview ¶
In the Profile presets area you define default values for newly created profiles. These defaults are adopted automatically when a profile is created - adjustments to existing profiles remain untouched.
This saves repeated identical clicks when creating similar profiles: anyone who wants to start all new profiles with “Print in portrait, auto-rotate, scale down images” sets the values here once - and every new profile already has them.
40.22.2 Processing ¶
| Field |
Description |
| Stop processing after first application |
Default value for the Following - Stop option in new profiles. Default: on - protects against accidentally chosen filters in a new profile that would misclassify large amounts |
The option in a specific profile determines whether the profile stops after the first match (for checking) or runs through.
40.22.3 Print: Email ¶
Default values for the Print email task (see Chapter 11):
| Field |
Description |
| Auto-rotate pages |
Automatically rotate landscape documents so they fit into portrait. Default: on |
| Center content |
Center content on the page instead of starting at the top left. Default: off |
| Size |
Fit (default), Original size or Custom scale |
| Scale in % |
Only for Custom scale: percent value (1 to 400) |
40.22.4 Print: Attachments ¶
Identical default values as for emails - apply to the Print attachments task (see Chapter 12):
| Field |
Description |
| Auto-rotate pages |
Default: on |
| Center content |
Default: off |
| Size |
Default: Fit |
| Scale in % |
Only for Custom scale |
40.22.5 Images ¶
Default values for image attachments (e.g. JPG, PNG):
| Field |
Description |
| Scale down oversized images |
Scale images that are larger than the print page down to page size. Default: on |
| Print images in original size |
Print images strictly in original size (no scaling). Default: on |
Note: Both options can be combined - typical effect: small images in original size, large images scaled down to page size.
40.22.6 What Happens When Defaults Change? ¶
Changed defaults only affect newly created profiles. Existing profiles keep their individual settings - there is no retroactive application “to all profiles”. To adjust a setting in many profiles, use the bulk action of the profile toolbar (see Chapter 3).
40.22.7 Tip ¶
- Anyone who always uses the same profile as a template can also duplicate an existing profile instead of creating a new one - this carries over all detail settings, not just the defaults configured here
