40.10 Filter

40.10.1 Overview

In the Filter area you define which file extensions the program may read text from when evaluating attachment contents. The setting affects only the placeholder extraction from file content - that is, when the Save attachments task uses the File content placeholders option to take values from the attachment into the path or file name (see Chapter 70.2).

40.10.2 File Extensions for Content Extraction

Field Description
File extensions List of extensions whose content may be read (semicolon-separated)

Example:

.txt; .xml; .csv; .json

Only plain text formats are supported. Content from PDF, Word or other Office formats cannot be filtered this way - the program would only read unusable binary data.

40.10.3 Tip

  • An empty list disables content extraction completely. A task with active File content placeholders then returns no values
