40.16 Excel Report

40.16.1 Overview

In the Excel report area you configure the automatic delivery of a processing report by email. According to a defined schedule, the program creates an Excel report on the most recent processing activities and sends it to one or more email addresses.

The manual report export from the Log tab (see Chapter 5) is unaffected - the schedule configured here is an additional, automatic variant.

40.16.2 Activation

Field Description
Send report by email Enables automatic delivery. As long as this option is disabled, all other inputs in this area are locked

40.16.3 Schedule

Determines when the program creates and sends the report.

Field Description
Interval Daily, weekly or monthly
Weekday Only for weekly interval: Monday to Sunday
Day of month Only for monthly interval: 1 to 28 (higher days are avoided because they do not exist in every month)
Time Time of day at which the report is sent (format HH:MM)

Note: The schedule only triggers as long as the program is running. In service mode the delivery trigger runs continuously, in application mode only while the application is started.

40.16.4 Report Time Range

Determines which processing entries the report contains. Important: The report time range is independent of the schedule - you could, for example, send a weekly review every day.

Time range Description
Previous day Processing of the previous day (00:00 to 23:59)
Previous week Processing of the past calendar week (Monday to Sunday)
Previous month Processing of the past month
Last X days Processing of the past X days (count configurable from 1 to 365)
From start of month to today Processing from the 1st of the current month until today

40.16.5 Recipients

Field Description
Email addresses One or more recipient addresses, separated by semicolons (e.g. boss@company.com; archive@company.com)

40.16.6 Email Account for Delivery

Field Description
Email account Selection from the accounts configured under Email accounts. The account must support SMTP delivery (pure POP3/IMAP read accounts are not enough)

Note: If the account selected here is later removed, a phantom entry “(Account no longer exists)” appears in the dropdown - the selection is preserved until you actively change it. This way orphaned references do not silently overwrite the first available account.

40.16.7 Use Case

Daily monitoring email to IT

Interval: Daily, 06:00. Report time range: Previous day. Recipient: it-monitoring@company.com. The IT department checks the processing of the previous night every morning - if no report arrives, the program is presumably stopped.

40.16.8 Tip

  • If the program is not running at the set time (application mode, PC off), the report is not delivered later
