40.16.1 Overview ¶

The Miscellaneous page bundles settings for the processing log and the printer check.

Setting	Meaning
Retention period of log entries (days)	Log entries whose last processing is further back are removed at program start (see chapter 80.1)
Max. log entries displayed	Limits the log list in the main window - protects the UI with very large log volumes
Simplified printer availability check	Enabled: before printing, only the printer’s existence is checked. Disabled: the printer status is checked as well (e.g. offline, paper jam, out of paper) and printing is reported as an error on malfunction. Enable the simplified check if a printer driver reports incorrect status values.
