40.12 Global Placeholders
40.12.1 Overview ¶
Global placeholders assign a fixed value to a placeholder that can be used in all profiles and tasks - e.g. a central filing root referenced in many profiles and changed in one place when needed. A global placeholder is referenced as <SimpleMapping{Name}> wherever placeholders are supported; in the placeholder menu, the entries appear under Lookup tables (see chapter 70.1).

40.12.2 Management ¶
The page lists all global placeholders with Name and Value. New…, Edit… (or double-click), and Remove manage the entries; name and value are edited in a small dialog.
Note: The name must not contain the characters { } < > and must be unique - also with respect to the names of the lookup tables (see chapter 40.11), since both share the same placeholder namespace.
Related: Value mappings in table form (invoice value → result value) are handled by the lookup tables (see chapters 40.11 and 70.2).
