  • Read current date into variable
  • Possibility of batch processing (the program can be started invisibly with parameters (e.g., file list or path, profile to be used, ...))
  • The maximum number of variables was increased to 20
  • Batch Script Generator

  • Fixed an error, which could under certain circumstances lead to program crash

June 18, 2013

Batch Text Replacer 2.0.0

More possibilities for the use of variables:

  • Variables can be named individually
  • Line areas can be stored in variables
  • Store into variable: content of another variable
  • Store into variable: following text (equals to a constant)
  • New filter: Edit content of variables - contained actions will applied only to the content of the selected variable
  • Variable Filter - Actions included are only executed when the specified criteria are met (variable contains ...)
  • Variables are now also available in the actions of the group "Line text"
  • Variables can be included in text parameters e.g., Replace with, Inser, etc. "Any text {Variable1} 2013", see program help - actions

Other improvements:

  • Newline characters can be replaced by any text
  • Option to display newline characters
  • Regular expressions can now be used in almost all input fields
  • New option "Repeat" when using the area specification types "between" and "from/to" (for example, to replace all matching areas)
  • New option "Repeat" when using the area limiter, for example, to go through all entries of an XML file
  • New comparison type in the area limiter and the line filter - "Line does not contain regex pattern"
  • New filter "Text filter" - actions contained will only be applied when the specified criteria are met (text contains ...) (applicable to file contents and area limiters)
  • The height of preview and action area is adjustable
  • In the file list, entries with changes are displayed in green background color
  • Optional confirmation prompt when clearing the action list or the program exits
  • Program interface revised
  • Minor bugs fixed
  • Many minor optimizations

Note: Due to the many changes, profiles created with the previous version can no longer be used
