Numbering lines

With this online tool, you can easily number lines. A text of your choosing can be prefixed or appended on each line number. In addition, you can adjust the starting value arbitrarily. By default, the numbering starts at one. Another practical feature is the option to set the number of leading zeros. That way, you can ensure that all line numbers have the same number of digits.

Instructions for using the tool

First, enter the lines to number into the input field. Then specify the initial value of the numbering and a possible prefix and suffix. Optionally, you can add leading zeros to each number. Finally, click on the button labeled Numbering Lines to perform the list's numbering.
