00:00:03.500 --> 00:00:16.700
In this tutorial, we set up a profile that
automatically saves email attachments. Automatic Email
Processor monitors a mailbox and files the attachments
of new messages in a structured way.

00:00:17.700 --> 00:00:20.749
First, we give the profile a meaningful name.

00:00:21.749 --> 00:00:35.949
On the Monitored folders page, you define which
accounts and mailbox folders are watched. In our
example, the inbox of the demo account is selected -
you can combine any number of accounts and folders.

00:00:36.949 --> 00:00:50.999
The message filter determines which emails are
processed. Our profile only reacts to messages whose
subject contains the word invoice and that have
attachments. Without a filter, all new messages are
processed.

00:00:51.999 --> 00:01:03.299
Now we add a task. Clicking Add shows all available
tasks, from printing and forwarding to saving to a
database. We choose Save Attachments.

00:01:04.299 --> 00:01:09.599
The new task appears in the task list on the left; its
settings are shown on the right.

00:01:10.599 --> 00:01:15.999
For the target directory, we first type the fixed part
of the path - our storage folder.

00:01:16.999 --> 00:01:33.349
Placeholders take care of the rest - and you do not
need to memorize them: the Insert placeholder button
lets you pick them from a list. For the sender's name,
we open Sender, then Name, and choose Complete.

00:01:34.349 --> 00:01:44.499
The placeholder is inserted directly into the field. In
the same way, we add the year of the receipt date as a
subfolder - found under Receipt date, Year.

00:01:45.499 --> 00:01:49.599
This way, each sender automatically gets its own folder
per year.

00:01:50.599 --> 00:02:04.699
The preview immediately shows where an attachment would
be saved: the target path is built directly from the
email's data. By the way, the file name can be left
empty - then each attachment keeps its original name.

00:02:05.699 --> 00:02:20.799
On the Attachment filter tab, you can control which
attachments are saved - by file name, file extension,
file size, or even image dimensions. We restrict the
task to PDF files.

00:02:21.799 --> 00:02:37.949
That completes the profile. After saving, Automatic
Email Processor files the attachments of all matching
emails fully automatically - around the clock in the
background, if you wish. You can find more information
on our website.
